Kim T. Buckley (retired partner emeritus)

Kim T. Buckley was born in Seattle and attended the University of Washington, obtaining a BA in 1970 and a BS in 1974, before obtaining his JD in 1978. He was a member of the Board of Editors of the Washington Law Review and the author of “State Sovereignty as an Implied Limitation on the Commerce Clause” 52 Wash. L.Rev. 747 (1977). He, too, has written for the Oregon State Bar Civil Litigation Manual (“Motions to Limit or Compel Discovery”) and the Oregon State Bar's “Contract Law in Oregon” (“Remedies for Breach”). He is the editor of the 1999 Supplement, the 2003 Revision, and the 2008 Supplement to “Contract Law in Oregon”. In 1978, he was admitted to practice before the Oregon courts, the US District Court for the District of Oregon, and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; in 1979, he was admitted to practice before the US Claims Court; in 1982, he was admitted to practice before the courts of Washington; in 1983, he was admitted to practice before the US District Court for the Western District of Washington; in 1986, he was admitted to practice for the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; and in 1988, he was admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court. He was an Oregon “Super Lawyer” in Securities Litigation and Commercial Litigation, a “Best Lawyer” in Commercial Litigation and a Benchmark Litigation “Star”.
